Lebanon triumphs at Stankovic Cup 2010!

Lebanon won the 3rd FIBA Asia Stankovic Cup and did not have any difficulties to grab the trophy tonight. The hosts smashed Japan 97:59 to remained undefeated at home. Lebanon won their first ever title in FIBA Asia events for Mens National Teams.
Lebanon started with 13:5 and went on a big 33;12 lead after the first period. Of course the team never looked behind and continued to dominate the court. The hosts reached 40:22 after 15 minutes in the court and had 48:24 at the halftime. Lebanon increased to 63:36 after 25 minutes in the game and enjoyed 75:42 closing the third period. The board showed 83:50 with 5 minutes in the game and Lebanon reached 97:59 at the end. The hosts made 44 Total Rebounds, while Japan had 20. Lebanon scored 40 points in the paint and Japan again had less, 22. The biggest scoring run was at 8 for Japan and 12 for Lebanon. 
Rony Fahed (186-G-81, agency: Pro Management Agency) top-scored for the winners with 23 points for the trophy. EL KHATIB netted 21 and Jackson Vroman (208-C/F-81, college: Iowa St.) added 16.Takumi Ishizaki (188-G-84) finished the night with 14 points for the Silver team. Ken Takeda (189-G/F-78), Kosuke Takeuchi (205-C/F-85) and Kenta Hirose (193-G-85) scored 8 each in defeat.
